ABOUT ME
I was once told by my employer, “No one will ever hire you in this industry.” This was my first experience in the trucking industry where I was working as a Safety Manager for minimum wage. I had asked for a modest raise, as I was trying to save money for my post-secondary education. But I didn’t let another person’s opinion of me, define who I was.
Over 20 years later, I am proud to say I’m still in Transportation. Additionally, I chose to embrace a positive mindset and use my experiences to help others achieve their full potential and make our industry better.
MY GOAL
My goal is to connect with as many like-minded leaders no matter your background or age.
To achieve the greatest results, my experience has taught me, the importance of Teamwork and to continuously develop the people around us.
MY PASSIONS
I have been very privileged and fortunate to fulfill many of my passions through both my personal and professional life.
This includes educating students through school programs and local driving schools, active industry involvement through Director Roles with the BC Trucking Association and Canadian Trucking Alliance, multiple business awards through the Profit 500 / Growth 500, and volunteer opportunities with our local charities.
MY VALUES
Companies need to conduct themselves with a sound Business Ethic, compounded with being Socially Responsible for the communities they do business in.
I believe if we want to build communities that we are proud to live in, we should adopt the positive characteristics of what we imagine the community should look like. Together, we can make change happen.
